Nature's Classroom
Teachers from the Five Rivers Environmental Center in Delmar came to visit our second graders. They presented three different topics about nature. The first one was about misunderstood animals. The class learned that many animals are more afraid of us than we are of them, and how to respect the animals in nature. The second graders examined bats, snakes, bees and spiders and learned how they are an important part of our world. There were great discussions about what to do if they saw any of these animals. We thank the Five Rivers Environment Center for bringing this program to us. We are grateful to the teachers for applying for and receiving this wonderful grant.
