WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

On April 2nd, Minerva Dawkins, teacher's assistant, and the fourth and fifth grades planned our first all school assembly to celebrate Women's History Month. Students from grades K-5 participated in the performance.

Grades K-1 spelled out "women's history" and for each letter they spoke about attibutes celebrating strong women.

The second through fifth grade particpated in a talk show performance interviewing famous women. Joseph played Regis Philbin and Za'Kari played Oprah Winfrey.

The fourth and fifth grades prepared dance performances between the two talk shows. At the end of the performances they invited the audience to join them on the dance floor.
