Ms. Theresa's First Grade - 2009-2010
 We know that it is impossible to replace Ms. Tara and we are very fortunate to have a talented teacher who will finish out this school year with your beautiful children. Ms. Theresa Manciocchi (pronounced Man-chock-ee or Ms. M.) substituted for Ms. Tara while she was recovering from a broken ankle. She knows your children and they know her and it will be an easier transition for them to continue with someone they know. Ms. Manciocchi is a certified teacher who holds a master’s degree in early childhood education from the Sage Colleges.

Tara Palmer
1978-2009
We are grateful for Ms.Tara’s life with us at the Ark Community Charter School. She gifted us daily with her gentle smile and embraced a spirituality that drew all of us to her. She embodied the true spirit of the Ark Community Charter School and in her classroom children were supported, challenged, celebrated, respected and heard. We miss her smile and kind words. Her spirit will always be with us.

 Ms. Tara’s Aunt Janet visited
us with her family. They came on Monday,
March 22, which would have been Ms. Tara’s
32nd birthday and presented the school with
two beautiful pieces of art work in Ms. Tara’s
memory. The first picture, a portrait of Ms.
Tara, was created by her cousin, Emma. The
second picture of a flower was created by Ms.
Tara’s cousin, Jesse. These beautiful pictures
will become part of a memorial to Ms. Tara.
We are grateful to her family for their beautiful
gifts to our community. |
